The Falcon was, in fact, returned the same day, albeit a little worse for wear. Rey had no idea who Hondo had recruited to fly her ship but they had no business in there. There were a lot of repairs that had to be made, both to the hull and the weirdly sparking areas inside, including one that was far too close to a porg nest for her liking.

After spending much longer than she wanted on making sure they were set to fly, Chewie's apology came in the form of finishing up while she and Silver got to actually head out on their own for a while, leaving him and BB-8 behind. And all right, the closest place to eat wasn't actually that far from where they were parked, but that was not the point.

"Sorry about all that," Rey said as they found seats. "I kind of expected that all this would have gone at least a little smoother."

"Exactly," Silver said with a nod. "You're starting to pick up on my habits."

"I don't mind that," she admitted with a small smile.

"I don't either," he said, a little surprised by that. Usually the thought of someone knowing him well made him on edge. "Do you think the charm will work on Finn?"

"Possibly." Definitely. "It's helpful that he's heard good things."

"Thank you for that," Silver said, chuckling. "I'd hate to see what happens to me if you change your mind about that."

"I think we're good there at least fur a while," she said, reaching for his hand.

Silver took her hand, twining their fingers together. "I'm glad I came here with you."

"Me too," she said. "I guess it's worth flying through space?"

"It's something I could get used to," he said. "Give me a couple more flights to get used to it."

"I'm glad to hear that." Seriously, she was happier than she thought she'd be about that. "I'll do my best to let you skip the trash planet."

"Is that a metaphor or is there an actual trash planet?" he asked.

"Actual trash planet," she said. "It's a temporary base, but if the First Order follows us the damage is low."

"Yeah let's not visit that one unless we absolutely have to," Silver joked. "Let's keep my space experiences positive."

And, yes, he did consider the whole leading the ship to Hondo thing positive.
