MCA #1- Friday night, and probably later

This was really Annie and Summer's party, that just so happened to take place in Rey's stupidly giant apartment. Still, even while she'd been told a lot of people might be coming, Rey was a little concerned no one actually would, and then she'd have to figure out what to do with just... a ridiculous amount of alcohol and so many inflatable reindeer. And packages for this thing had been showing up daily for a week, including as late as this afternoon, and after all of this, people had better show up.

There were so many Christmas lights around the place that the apartment lights weren't even on, Summer's Jello shots were very much on display, and while there was mistletoe hanging from the ceiling, it wouldn't force you to kiss anyone. (No, no, that's the alcohol's job.) It was jolly as hell up in here, and honestly loud enough that even if you decided to skip the party you'd probably have some idea of how it went.

Also Tino showed up like ten minutes early and was just kind of hanging around.

"Yes, only Steve would be jealous," Annie agreed, smiling before reaching out to lightly grab him on the arm and lowering her voice. "But were you there when they kissed? Because that happened, according to the radio."

"I haven't been rendered blind so, no, I did not see it," he joked. "Maybe they'll show up in matching outfits tonight."

"We should be so lucky." Oh Annie, if you only knew. "I had to kiss Summer and Rey," she added, pointing each of them out. And really, she had saved Summer, heroically.

"You got off easy," Diego said. "They don't look like they have stubble."

"I get enough stubble in my voluntary kissing," Annie told him, leaning in to kiss him again. (Still with the jingling.) "Like, at least we don't have to spend the rest of December dreading the mistletoe thing?"

Oh just wait until he got the beard and the long hair. So much hair was in his future.

"True," he said. "But between you and me I'd rather kiss Danny again than have the eggnog shower."

"So goopy," Annie agreed with a little wrinkle of her nose. "But at least the tinsel was fun!"

For a given value of fun, but still.

And at least the eggnog hadn't shown up tomorrow, when everyone would probably puke at the very idea of it.

"Fun is a word for it." Not one Diego would have used, but he wasn't surprised Annie thought it was fun. He reached out to take her hand. "Come on, show me all the work you put into this party."
