Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

The woodchucks were quiet in their little space today, and Rey was taking advantage of that to run some Form VI drills.

Well. She was taking advantage of it because she knew it she ran the course the woodchucks might be too tempted to throw something at her and ruin the quiet. Same thing.

She was a little in the zone with it today, too. She knew the steps, and maybe the quiet gave her a chance to focus more and keep her from getting distracted.

Anakin arrived on time and loitered by the door to watch her work.

Rey knew he was there, and acknowledged him with a little nod, but she didn't stop what she was doing like she usually did when someone showed up. She was about halfway through, do she took her time in getting it right, and didn't stop until she was completely finished.

"Hi," she said then.

"That's looking very fluid," Anakin praised with a small smile.

"I've been practicing," she said, like yeah, Rey, that was obvious.

"I can tell," Anakin said, nodding. "Would you like me to add in some of the telekinesis portions?"

Throw things at you, Rey. He wants to throw things at you.

"You can play the part of a woodchuck today if you'd like," Rey told him.

She was always in a better mood when she knew she was doing well.

"I'll do my best," Anakin said, laughing. "The Diplomat form depends a lot of telekinesis, both in offense and defense."

"I'm all right with that. Makes it more interesting."

The form itself was fine, but anything that had "Moderation" in one of its names was not a fighting style Rey was going to be using much.

"Remember that at the end of this," Anakin said, starting out easy.

Telekinesis was easy enough, and Rey had no problem batting them away, especially at the start of the form.

"I can do better than that,"she pointed out.

"I know," Anakin said, adding heavier, larger objects. "I was starting off slow."

[thatwaslucky]

"Should have known," she said with a wry smile, but larger and heavier really wasn't a problem. It required the same amount of focus as smaller objects, the timing before it got to you was just different.

"Would you really enjoy our training if I didn't push you?" Anakin asked, adding different sizes and shapes--plus some blaster happy remotes--to the exercise.

Annie came to visit earlier in the afternoon, and actually just lingered in the doorway and waited for Rey to notice her rather than calling out a greeting.

Like, first of all, because her friend was a badass and it was cool to watch her, but also because Rey seemed pretty focused, and Annie could wait.

Rey knew she was there, but made sure to finish what she was doing rather than let herself get distracted. There were days she just felt this more.

She did add a little twirl of the lightsaber when she finished up, though, greeting her with, "Hey."

The lightsaber twirl was a nice touch, and Annie had to smile as she returned the, "Hey. I know I can't really sneak up on you, but like, sorry -- I would've said something but you seemed like, way focused."

"Don't apologize," Tey assured her. "I'm sorry I made you wait. I was just doing good at it."

"You really were," Annie replied admiringly, nodding her head. "I've been in the zone like that, no worries." Though she was likely to drop a weight on her foot if she got distracted, which hurt like no one's business regardless of how super-abled one was. "How's it going?"

"Busy, as usual," Rey said with a shrug, shutting the lightsaber down and clipping it to her belt. "How about you?"

"Also busy," Annie acknowledged with a sigh. "I taught this morning," if by 'taught' one meant 'showed a movie,' "and I'm running around getting things squared away for next week -- oooh, are you going to Japan? 'Cause I need to find someone to water Diego's plant."

Look, Annie barely trusted him to water the plant on his own, when they were in the same state and universe. Of course she had taken matters into her own hands in terms of trying to find a plant sitter.

"Actually I am," Rey said apologetically. "I'm Summer's guest."

And totally, definitely Summer's roommate, really.

"Is Diego coming to Japan, too?"

"Diego and I have actually been invited to Hawaii," Annie noted with a shake of her head. "Danny and Steve's version."

The explodey one.

"But oh man, you have to take a million pictures," she added with an envious sigh. "Japan's supposed to be so beautiful."

"I'll try. I'm not great with pictures," Rey admitted. "I don't know too much about Hawaii."

"I will task Summer with pictures, then," Annie decided firmly. Because like, Summer did the socials, Summer would probably be documenting this thing regardless of whether Annie asked or not. "You're going to have so much fun, though. Hawaii's a set of tropical islands. Lots of beaches and palm trees, and it's hot and rainy so maybe kind of like Ajan Kloss humidity-wise, now that I'm thinking about it."

So she would be investing in some sprays for her hair. Foresight!

"All right, I want pictures of that," Rey decided immediately.
