Dite's- Monday

After the last few weeks, Rey was doing her best to get back to a routine. For her, this meant training. So she'd gotten her things, opened the door to the apartment, stepped outside…

...and found herself in a store she hadn't been in before but it was pretty obvious pretty quickly which store it was. Well, okay, that was weird and she would die of blush if she stayed in here too long.

Rey immediately went to the door, figuring this was something where Fandom was having a day and just waylaid her a bit. So it was really annoying when she opened the door and attempted to step outside, but gently bounced back a step or two, like she'd just walked into the wall of a bouncy house.

It was going to be a long 30 minutes, not that she knew that yet.

Stark had been headed outside. Anywhere outside. This was very much not outside. This was also not a shop he would have walked into on his own even if he weren't planning on spending all his time outside again. But no. This island was this island and now he was here and the doorway wouldn't let him out.

"What? How. This is...Oh. Oh." Don't mind the alien. He was just spinning in a circle trying to find somewhere to look that wasn't at anyone or anything in particular.

"Exactly," Rey said, because that was kind of what she was doing internally.

[stykera]

"Why?" Stark asked the floor. But also Rey. Mainly the floor though.

[thatwaslucky]

"Because this island thinks it's funny, I suppose."

It was, though.

[stykera]

"I don't think this is particularly funny," Stark muttered.

There were people here! And things. So many things. Humanity was very inventive!

[thatwaslucky]

"Me either. Maybe others do."

If they got enough people in here some of them were bound to, just based on averages.

[stykera]

"I'm sure someone does."

Faye. It was Faye. Faye was the someone.

[thatwaslucky]

"Someone absolutely does," Rey agreed. "So.... how've you been?"

Was it better to do that here? Was it more or less awkward?

It was probably the same amount of awkward. So much awkward. "Better than I was, I think."

Aside from right now when he almost wished for a hole so he could stop very carefully not looking at anything in here.

"I've been trying to stay outside, mostly. Are you alright?"

[thatwaslucky]

"I'm doing fine," Rey admitted. "Honestly this is worse for me."

Because she was private.

[stykera]

"I would much rather be outside than in here right now," Stark said, looking very intently at a spot on the floor.

Because this was awkward. So awkward.

[thatwaslucky]

"It has to let us out soon," Rey decided/hoped.

[stykera]

"I hope so." And then he was going to walk off into the preserve where there were no people and hug a tree or something.
