Dite's- Monday

After the last few weeks, Rey was doing her best to get back to a routine. For her, this meant training. So she'd gotten her things, opened the door to the apartment, stepped outside…

...and found herself in a store she hadn't been in before but it was pretty obvious pretty quickly which store it was. Well, okay, that was weird and she would die of blush if she stayed in here too long.

Rey immediately went to the door, figuring this was something where Fandom was having a day and just waylaid her a bit. So it was really annoying when she opened the door and attempted to step outside, but gently bounced back a step or two, like she'd just walked into the wall of a bouncy house.

It was going to be a long 30 minutes, not that she knew that yet.

"That's about right," Rey answered.

That was mostly just for good measure, as Nina looked around with a sort of horrified intrigue on her face. She read a lot of dirty romance novels but, like, ladies just weren't supposed to go into stores like this...

"Why???????????????" she asked, looking at Rey because Rey was the safest, least embarrassing thing to look at in here. "Like, is this a hint?????????????????? Is the island in a mood??!??????????!!"

She... she did not really want to know about the island being in that sort of mood.

...

She was also not super keen to explore any part of this store with other people around.

"I hope not."

This was the biggest lie Rey had ever told, pollen was great now.

"I think the island just wants everyone uncomfortable."

"It is a bit shocking," Belle said from where she was still very slooooowly putting back the books that Clare had knocked down.

Nina was decidedly blushing.

Like. A lot.

As she tried to both look and not look at things.

"I mean, like, it's different..................."

"It's very educational," Belle said, eyebrows raised at the book she had just picked up.

"I'm willing to be a Google search is about, like, a thousand times less embarrassing given the number of people stuck in here," Nina said, and she was totally doing the thing with her hands over her eyes but peeking anyway.

... Shush.

There were books here, Nina, you could just tune out the people!

"It's educational," Belle repeated, shamelessly.

"That's one word for it," she hedged, shifting a little closer. "What's this one about?????????"

She was still peeking through her fingers, no regrets.

Belle might have been more embarrassed if she'd looked at anything in the store besides the books.

"There are diagrams. Some of them seem very unlikely."

But there were also guys in the store and adults and both of them were just a huge no on Nina's embarrassment scale when it came to a sex store.

"Well," Nina said slowly. "I suppose diagrams might be okay... ish............."

Better than actual pictures, at least!

Thankfully, Belle had only spoken to Nina and Clare in here.

"Here," Belle said, holding the book out. "It won't bite."

Nina was going to eye Belle so very doubtfully.

"I mean, like, it's the island," she ventured. "It could bite?????????"

Still, she was going to very, very gingerly reach out for that book.

"That's a very good point," Belle agreed. "None of them have so far though. I think they're safe to touch."

"Physically, maybe," she allowed, as she was blushing furiously as she looked at the first picture. "Um, I........... oh my..........."
