Ajan Kloss- Tuesday even later
When the Resistance returned to Ajan Kloss, they were diminished in numbers and yet so many more now. Most of their ally ships had returned to their own systems and planets after the battle, but a few had followed the surviving Resistance ships home. Their base was fuller and busier than ever.
It was the best kind of chaos. People were finding each other in the crowd, laughing and hugging upon being reunited. Medics tried to get to the injured, but some had decided they could ride this high a little longer before needing to be treated. At the same time, some people had realized their loved ones hadn't come back. People who'd only just met were saying hello just to congratulate each other.
They'd survived. Today was a lot, but they were still here.
[For those who helped the Resistance today!]

But she was mostly worried about something she thought she'd heard Finn mutter after she'd picked him and Jannah up, a murmur she really hoped she'd misheard, or something, but she supposed she'd just have to wait and see, and focus on the things she could confirm in front of her now.

Because, like, there were so many medics around here right now, Stark. Put your own metaphorical oxygen mask on first, dammit.

“Hey, hey, stop for a second,” he demanded, putting himself in Stark’s path.

Given that she was uninjured, she was naturally turning her attention to where she could help -- she was looking for anyone who needed bleeding stopped and couldn't wait for a medic, or anyone who looked like they could use a little carrying, and -- all right, fine, she was looking for a few specific people to make sure they had made it out, and trying not to worry about any faces she wasn't seeing, yet.

Summer, of course, was pretty sure she knew the answer, but she couldn't have spotted Annie and not have asked.

Still, she was a healer, and they probably needed that, so she was stalking through the crowd (red lightsaber very definitely off), seeing what good she could do.

That said: he was also gonna need, like, a juice box or something, at some point. That had also been very tiring, in addition to rewarding.

Not even that long ago he'd escaped the First Order, wanting nothing but to get as far away as possible, and now he got to witness this.
It was overwhelming, and he watched with happy tears in his eyes.

He'd warn Finn that he wasn't allowed to give people heart attacks like that, but he couldn't quite manage it at the moment. It'd come up eventually.

She was a little somber as she watched the crowd, wondering if it was weird for her to go up to Lando or Wedge when they wouldn't know her, or if she could demand a hug from Chewie because she'd gone 26 years without one, and if it was too mean to call her mom right now.
no subject
Seeing Chewie was hard enough, and she hadn't grown up with a version of him like Jaina had. And while she hadn't gone asking, there were some distinct Force presences missing, ones that had been constants in her life since she was nine years old, and now that she had the time to really process it all after jumping headlong into a war zone in an unfamiliar timeline... yeah.

His boots hit the ground a little heavily and he reached out to the Rey-shaped space in the Force, just to assure himself she was still there, then Jaina's, then Tahiri. Poe, Finn, Chewie, all accounted for.
There was one missing, one he hadn't noticed gone in the melee of the battle.
"Oh," he said softly.

So he'd found a nice place to sit and let his legs go shaky for a moment as the adrenaline wore of and he worked on his "Everything is fine, Danny," text message home.

Annie was, unsurprisingly, totally fine -- if maybe a touch worried about certain faces she had not yet spotted. (Also, a little confused because she was almost positive she'd seen two different actors from her stupid movie here? Probably just, like, seeing things.)

And when she stood again, people were starting to take notice of her. She barely felt like she was really there, still she'll shocked by everything, with people clapping her on the shoulder as she made her way through the crowd, searching for a few people that she had yet to find.

There she was, covered in grime and blood, but it didn't matter, because she was alive. Again, apparently.

He looked at his ship, “Walsh is going to love hearing about this report,” he sighed.
