The flight shed- Friday afternoon

Rey went to the warehouse every day so she knew it was okay there, but Friday was the day all the weird stuff tended to happen for some reason. And she simply didn't feel like dealing with it today.

So instead there was a different kind of training happening today, and Rey patiently waited outside the flight shed for the guy with the keys.

"Hello, Rey," Anakin said as he walked over. "You beat me."

"I'm usually first at the warehouse too," she smiled.

"Well, yes, but I don't have the keys for that," Anakin said.

"I can get them for you," she said. "You should probably have them anyway."

"Maybe I just like picking the lock," Anakin teased.

"I mean that is a choice," she said.

"I don't even use the lightsaber for it because that's cheating," Anakin said.

"And then I'd have to replace a door..."

Plus it might distract from the lightsaber burn on said door, and Rey liked it for sentimental reasons...

"That seems like a hassle," Anakin agreed. "You only use the lightsaber on a door you don't care about."

"So keys. I'll have them next week," she said.

"Thank you," Anakin said, smiling. "Let's see how you fly."

"Pretty well," she smiled.

"Well, you're a Skywalker," Anakin said. "It's practically required."

It was still kind of great to hear that, if the smile didn't give that away.

"Even without genetics?"

"Even without genetics," Anakin confirmed, smiling back.

"Okay then," she said. "After you."

Anakin grinned as he opened the door to the flight shed and ushered her inside. "What would you like to fly today?"

"A starship," she said as she stepped inside. "Maybe not an X-wing."

"I think Jaina's updated to the more modern ships for her time," Anakin offered.

"I'll happily take something new," Rey said quickly.

Anakin gestured at the console. "Pick your favorite."

Rey took a moment to consider the selections before deciding on the clawcraft.

"This is very new for me," ahe explained.

"I haven't put much time into it either," Anakin admitted. "Let's see where the Force and raw talent gets us."

"Are you going to turn it into a competition?" she checked.

"Of course I am," Anakin said, laughing. "Why? Are you intimidated?"

"No, it's a simulation," she teased.

"You should be intimidated," Anakin said. "I'm good at this."
