Rey had taken Juliet and Christopher home this weekend. It gave Anakin a break, and it gave her some opportunity to show them the galaxy, specifically Jedi-related parts of the galaxy. And to teach them some things. She felt like she didn't suck at teaching as much these days? Or maybe she just really didn't want to screw up her Master's kids and was trying harder.

She reached out to let Anakin know when they were back and headed to his house (as if he couldn't tell through the Force) and walked the kids up to the front door.

Anakin opened the door as they were approaching, smiling at all of them. "Everyone's limbs still intact?"

It was a very Skywalker thing to check.

"Everyone has their original limbs, no one should even have scratches or bruises," Rey told him. "Unless someone banged into something on the Falcon."

"I didn't!" Christopher said quickly.

"That isn't a reassuring as you think it is," Anakin told him.

"Everyone's in one piece, that's the important part," Rey said. "There wasn't anything dangerous at all."

"Where did you end up going?" he asked, giving Christopher a big hug and then ruffling his hair.

"Tempes. I found it in Luke's notes, it used to be an old Jedi outpost," she said. "It's in decent shape, if quiet."

Boring.

"It was good for some training."

"Boring," Juliet said, rolling hers eyes. "No one ever tried to kidnap us."

"Well, good," Anakin said. "I prefer you unkidnapped."

"Maybe next time," Rey said wryly, looking at Anakin and shaking her head.

She'd happily take them again, but let's not with that.

Juliet went into the house muttering under her breath about cousin street cred and how everyone else got kidnapped and the unfairness of life.

Anakin shook his head, huffing out an amused breath. "Hopefully it was a good kind of boring."

"I hope so," Rey admitted. "We got to have practice lightsaber duels in a Jedi building. Hopefully that's not boring."

"That sounds great to me," Anakin said.

"Found a holocron, too, so we got to go through that," she said. I might have to go back at some point. Juliet and Christopher are always welcome."

"Rory and I are very appreciative of you taking them," Anakin said, smiling. "We had a very nice time away."

"Good," she said. "Did you do anything fun?"

Anything that won't scar her, Anakin.

"Rory's mom runs a b&b, so it's hard to go to one and not judge it against Lorelei's," Anakin said. "So we went to a fancy hotel instead."

"That was a very deserved break, then," said the girl who would never book a fancy hotel for herself but appreciated that people did! "Did you stay around here?"
