It wasn't anything specific that made Rey decide she had to leave, but rather it was a choice made over the course of several days. Their first intended stop hasn't worked out, leaving everyone together on the Falcon for longer, supply stops aside. But even when they were all getting irritated with each other, everyone knew how to work together. Even with the Resistance as small as it was, everyone here had something driving them.

And then there was Rey, still without a real place in all of this, left with a broken weapon and books she couldn't yet translate. She could hunker down and learn what she needed to on her own; she'd done it thousands of times before. It was how she'd learned everything.

But she didn't have to.

Hopefully.

So she had a talk with Leia. She had to explain some things, such as the very basics of what Fandom was and why she wanted to go back there, which involved a lot of followup questions she didn't have the answers to yet. It would only be for a bit, and if she was called back she'd go immediately, but Rey knew she was more of a help to them if she had help herself.

All she had to do was wait until they stopped and she could get a portal.
