Batuu, and then not- Wednesday

The good news was that the Falcon was up and running before they got word that the First Order had landed on Batuu and were looking for members of the Resistance.

There'd been a scramble. They actually did have recruits onplanet that they suddenly had to secretly give direction to in order to get them safely to the base on Pacara, and it'd been decided that Rey should be the one to record that message. She'd argued that for about thirty seconds before getting over herself and doing it. (She hadn't even known there was a base on Pacara. Where was Pacara?) And while Rey really didn't want to leave anyone behind- planets helping the Resistance didn't get off easy- the moment she sensed Kylo Ren there, she knew she was more of a liability than anything.

It was the first time they'd been in the same general space in over a year, and there were all sorts of feelings to be had over that, but she'd severed that connection as soon as it had registered and hoped that was enough.

The Falcon took off and left the planet only getting shot at a few times and without too much trouble otherwise, making a couple jumps just to throw the First Order off their trail if they'd been followed. Once they seemed to be clear, Chewie left the cockpit to join BB-8 check on some things.

"Well," Rey said with a sigh, "hopefully that was a positive trip until that last part."

"You might get tired of me eventually," Rey smiled.

"I really don't see that happening." If anything he thought it'd be the other way around.

Hopefully he didn't mind getting a Rey in his personal space. Because she'd been wanting to be closer this whole time and hand holding was nice, but she'd rather get up to slip into his lap by now.

"Don't say that yet," she warned. "The person in my brain is only one way I can be really annoying."

He certainly didn't mind that. He wrapped his arms around her to keep her close, even. "Oh? What's another way?"

"Well," she said thoughtfully, sliding an arm around his shoulders, "when I decide to do something, I just do it. People get very annoyed at me about that."

Though he'd gotten the good side of that.

"I don't think we'd be where we are now without that trait of yours," he pointed out. "So consider me a fan of it."

He would probably regret saying that at some point.

It was only a matter of time, really.

"Point," she conceded. "And I'm really persistent. Really."

"Now you're just listing your admirable traits," he said, pressing a quick kiss just below her ear.

"I might snore?" She didn't know!

Silver sighed. "I didn't want to tell you about the snoring..."

He was absolutely lying.

And there was a little moment of something like embarrassed panic for a moment, where she tried to figure out if that was something you apologized for...?

He smiled. "I'm joking, you are actually very quiet when you sleep."

"All right," she said, playfully swatting his shoulder, "I guess I can take that off the list."

"Don't worry, I'm sure we will figure out one of your flaws eventually," Silver teased. "I'm doubtful any would scare me off though."

"I hope not," she said, sincerely. Because she did worry a little, and she was pretty attached.

"Just don't start snoring," he said with a smile. "That's where I draw the line."

"I'll do my best," Rey smiled, leaning in to kiss him again.
