MCA Holosuite room- Monday evening

The broken, broken room seemed be working just fine today. In fact, Rey's attempts at programming the thing that did not want her programming it ended in a nice, cozy room with a large fluffy sofa.

This may have been compensation for the fact that the movie they ended up with was awful, and enough to get a "...What the hell," out of Rey about a minute in. (Because she was using restraint.)

"Well that's...anatomically correct."

IT WAS NOT HER FAULT.

"I don't know what's happening," she said, shaking her head. "Why do they... do cats look like this and I never noticed?"

No, Rey, these were abominations.

"They do not look like this," Silver said. "And they don't sing."

Maybe Cait did. He was an exception.

"I feel like I'm missing something. Like why they're singing. And why."

Silver shook his head. "I know they're speaking English and yet I still don't know what they're talking about."

"Am I supposed to know what a jellicle is?"

No. No one knew.

"I was about to ask you the same thing." He offered the bottle of wine Jaskier gave him. "I know you sort of swore off drinking after that party but..."

"I won't go crazy with it and I'll be fine," Rey assured him. "These are extenuating circumstances."

"These are definitely extenuating circumstances," Silver said. "I feel like this movie should have be banned. By the world."

Jaskier offered over a whole bottle of rosè. Because that was the correct alcohol for musical theater.

"The story structure," he hissed like it offended him on a personal level.

"Bless you," Silver said, accepting the rosè gratefull. "You're doing the Lord's work."

"What?" Jaskier said, gesturing toward the television with his own personal bottle. "Why?"

Silver held up his finger as he took a long, long swig straight from the bottle. "You're doing your part to help me block this from my memory. I don't think the one bottle is going to do it though."

Damn his pirate alcohol tolerance.

"I fear we may need to dip into your supplies," Jaskier replied. "I brought all that was in my apartment."

"Hope you like rum." It was all he had but luckily he had plenty to go around. "Who was this movie made for? Cat perverts?"

"Yes." To all of it. To everything.

"I thought Taylor Swift was better than this." He hadn't been here long but he knew all about Taylor Swift, yes.

Jaskier walked into the room, caught what was on the screen and walked right back out.

He returned with several bottles of pink wine. Because it was one of those days.

"That's the right call," Rey told him. She was so concerned.

"I believe it best that we order food now to soak up the alcohol necessary for this," he informed her solemnly.

[thatwaslucky]

"Yes. We can focus on that instead of what's happening," Rey said. "What's the fastest?"

"Um." He kept getting distracted by the horror, Rey. SAVE HIM.

"Pizza," she said, saving him. "We should go with pizza."

Delicious and distracting!

"Pizza it is!" He said, latching onto that last bastion of sanity.

"We can be as picky as we need to about toppings if it helps," she said.
