MCA #2- Sunday evening

Rey had never had a reason to celebrate Valentine's Day, aside from sending people flowers because it felt like a nice thing to do for your friends. Having a boyfriend made this year very different. She still didn't really understand it, but she would absolutely take advantage of it.

She and Silver also took the easy route for dinner, ordering out a pizza that turned out to be heart-shaped to be eaten in the kitchen (with Rey having stolen his shirt for the moment, mostly because she thought he might like that). "This was good," Rey said, once she'd decided she was done eating. "We got cheated out of pizza, but it was good."

Turns out he did like her wearing his shirt, even if he really couldn't explain to himself why.

"I'm not sure the heart shape has it's intended effect," Silver said. "There's nothing really romantic about melted cheese, no matter what the shape."

"Maybe if we'd eaten by candlelight," Rey teased.

"I don't know I don't think even candlelight would help make tomato sauce and pepperoni romantic," he said. "The whole candlelight equals romance thing still amuses me. Before it was just all candlelight all the time for me."

"So what is romantic to you?" Rey wondered. "Since pizza and lighting aren't."

And it wasn't really something she put a ton of thought into herself.

"You know, I've never really thought about it," he admitted. "I guess I can't be called the romantic type."

"That honestly probably works out when we got together through a text," Rey said thoughtfully. Maybe traditional romantic stuff was not their thing.

He laughed lightly. "What about you? Have you ever thought about it?"

"I think," she said slowly, "that what I think is romantic is anything that gets me closer to you."

Sappy as hell, yes. Also true.

Silver smiled. "Then you'll definitely like what I have in mind for tonight."

"Oh?" she asked, smiling. "What do you have in mind for tonight?"

"Well I did get some holiday-themed bath bombs..." To add to his massive collection.

"And you said you weren't a romantic," Rey smiled. "I like this."

[long_memory]

"Good," he said with a smile. "You relax while I go fill the tub."

[thatwaslucky]

"Okay," she said. "Though relaxing is much harder out here."

"I won't be long," he said, leaning in for a kiss. "I promise."

"Okay," she said, kissing him back. "I'll be waiting."

It didn't take long considering Silver was, like, a bath connoisseur by now. It was obvious he had planned for this at least a little bit, considering he did give in and light candles even though he didn't know what was so romantic about it.

"All right, it's ready," he called out a few moments later. He would have gone out there to get her but the leg was now off and he was well on his way to being totally undressed. He didn't think she'd complain about that.

Had Rey been relaxing in that time? No, she'd cleaned up in the kitchen so they didn't have to do it later.

She came into the bathroom, smiling when she saw the setup. "You did good," she decided, watching him. No complaints.

"Thank you," he said with a smile. He dropped in the bath bomb which was in the shape of a heart and cheesily said "Luv U" on it. "Supposed to smell like chocolate and strawberries, but we'll see."

"I love it," Rey decided. This was the corniest holiday, but it was kind of working on her a little. "I feel like we've graduated from lavender, somehow."

"Well it's a holiday," he joked, as he kicked off the last off his clothes. "We had to do something special."

"So we're back to the regular scents after this," she nodded, pulling off his stolen shirt.

"Yep. Different scents for special occasions," he said, moving to slide into the bath. "We have to keep things exciting somehow.

"I don't actually think that'll be a problem," Rey said. She waited till he was settled in the tub, then got in herself so she could sit with her back against his chest.

"That's reassuring," he said, letting out a contented sigh at both the bath and Rey against him. "Leaves off the pressure for me to outdo myself."
