MCA #2- Tuesday morning

Yesterday had been weird. Silver had been in a bad mood and Rey had been paranoid and it had somehow led to a fight that she knew was completely stupid, even if at the time she'd been convinced it was all her fault and also possibly the end of the world.

Today she knew she definitely hadn't helped. She'd had a lot of time to think about it after waking up way too damn early thanks to freaking herself out over a movie about a guy who literally killed people in their sleep. That had been a bad choice for that day, room.

Since she was up, she stopped off at JGOB, returning to knock on Silver's door with coffee and a bag. (And maybe for a second hoped ahead hadn't underplayed how last night had gone.)

She definitely hadn't underplayed how yesterday had gone. Silver woke up feeling like a total idiot even though he logically knew that Fandom had been messing with the both of them. Still, he prided himself on keeping a close reign on his emotions so this entire weekend had bothered the hell out of him.

He looked relieved when he opened the door. He was glad he and Rey seemed to be on the same page, judging from the coffee and baked goods she had brought. It really had been a silly fight. "Hi."

"Hi," she said, sheepish. "I brought apology breakfast."

Silver smiled slightly, moving so Rey could come in. "I believe in that case I should be buying you the apology breakfast."

"Yesterday was weird," she said, stepping inside. "Neither of us was at our best."

His reaction was still such a relief.

"The whole weekend was weird," he said. "But yesterday definitely was the worst of it."

"A bad mood at least makes sense. I don't know what was wrong with me," she said, handing him his coffee.

"Thank you," he said, accepting the coffee. "I was in a similar mood on Saturday. I convinced myself I was going to die of something."

"Oh, I don't like that for you," she told him, frowning.

"I didn't like it for me either," he said. "I didn't like you being so worried about everything either. Sorry I seemed annoyed by it."

"I'm pretty annoyed by myself in retrospect," Rey admitted. "I was convinced I was annoying you into breaking up with me."

"Not something you have to worry about," he said, leaning in for a kiss.

"You still want to be my boyfriend?" she teased, kissing him back.

"Of course," he said with a smile. "Even if I don't really deserve it after my behavior yesterday."

"It's all right. You're allowed to be in a mood," she told him. "It was actually kind of a good look on you when it wasn't directed at anyone."

What, he was a hot brooder.

Silver laughed lightly. "I'll keep that in mind. It doesn't happen very often."

"That's the first time I've ever seen you any degree of mad," she agreed. And they'd known each other for a while now.

"I don't think I've seen you mad that often either." Either they were very chill or very good at ignoring stuff they didn't want to think about.

"You haven't seen me fight that much." That's where all the real anger came out. "There's not much to upset me from day to day, and we haven't had anything to argue about."

"That's a good thing, right?" he said. "No matter how attractive we might look when we're mad."

"That's a good thing," she said with a little laugh. "And we survived our first fight now."

Sure, it was the dumbest fight ever.

"Does it count as our first fight if we weren't really acting like ourselves?" he asked.

"Yes, because there's apology breakfast," she decided.

"You really didn't have to do that," he said. "But I won't ever turn away free food."

"I felt bad, and had too much time to think," she said, heading towards the kitchen to set things down.

"Things would have been much simpler if we had been ponies," Silver decided, following her.
