MCA Holosuite room- Monday night

The holosuite room had given them another musical today, and Rey was understandably wary of that at first.

"This one seems… well, not normal," she said, because of all the singing and dancing, and because her player sucked at OMWF, "but better."

Besides, the room gave them massaging recliners so if the movie was terrible at least there were the chairs.

"I don't think I'll ever understand the appeal of these singing movies," he said, relaxing into the recliner. "But at least there's no creepy cats this time."

"It looks like they're having fun, at least," Rey said. "I don't understand the purpose of all the songs."

"I think it's supposed to be whimsical," he said, closing his eyes for a moment. "These chairs are fantastic."

"I considered whether they'd last off we took one upstairs," Rey said with a smile.

"We should definitely try." And then they'd get punished by the room next time they were in here.

"My concern is that it's disappear as soon as it leaves the room."

And then, of course, punishment.

"That would be a whole lot of effort for nothing," he said. "I wonder how expensive they are."

Rey got out her phone to look.

"About four hundred or more," she said, making a face. It was more than she was willing to pay when she'd made all of hers, personally.

"That's insane," he said. "For a chair?"

"Nothing wrong with a bit of spontaneous singing," Jaskier insisted. Because it was Jaskier.

"Is it spontaneous when you have an instrument?" Rey wondered.

"...well, maybe. It depends on the context." It really did not, but okay.

"How so?" she asked.

"Well, was there a song already going? Were they working, perhaps? Work songs are very common back home."

You know, so you didn't murder your coworkers in us olden times.

"I was always too busy working to sing," Rey mused. But she also hadn't had coworkers.

"Not even to hum?" You were breaking his heart!

"I didn't really know any songs," Rey shrugged.

"Well, I certainly hope we've fixed that by now."

He'd make you a playlist, so help him.

"I can deal with it so long as there's no cat buttholes again." He was traumatized by that. Traumatized.

"That was... Well. We'll need more alcohol to get into that."

"I also like the music in this one much better so far."

"I think I know the music," he said, listening a little closer to the first song,

"You do?" he asked. "From your universe or from here?"

"From here..." Of course he knew ABBA. Of course.

"Well, it could be worse," he said with a shrug. "Nothing I would sing personally, but I'm not much of a singer in the first place."

Let's be real, if he did sing it'd be, like, Linkin Park or something.
