MCA #1- Monday morning

Rey had woken up annoyingly early, tried to pretend that she didn't in an attempt to get back to sleep, and finally got up to stop herself from waking Silver, too. So she put on some coffee and took up a spot on the living room sofa with an ancient text to get some reading done.

It was normal if you were her.

Silver hadn't woken up early by normal person terms, but it was early by Silver terms. Which would explain why he was clearly out of it when he padded out of the bedroom, grunting a little when he misjudged the doorframe and knocked his shoulder on it.

He mumbled something that might have been a 'good morning' as he flopped down on the other end of the sofa.

"Good morning," Rey said, smiling over at him. "Are you actually awake?"

She had a guess.

"Sort of," he mumbled. "It's terrible."

Either be fully awake or fully asleep, this in-between was the worst.

"Would you like coffee?" she asked, setting the text on the table, figuring she'd be getting some regardless of his actual answer.

"Yes, please." That would fix everything. Hopefully. "You're the best."

"On it," Rey said, getting up to fix him a cup, and returning a minute later to offer it to him. "I might have overfilled a little."

Because he needed it.

"No such thing," he mumbled, accepting the cup. "How long have you been up?"

"I'm not sure," she admitted, taking a seat next to him. "Long enough to get through quite a few pages?"

"Read anything interesting?" he asked.

[thatwaslucky]

"That depends on if you consider ancient Jedi philosophies interesting," she said. "Which I do. It's kind of heavy for the morning, though."

"No kidding," he said with a soft laugh. "I don't think that's ever going to be on my reading list, I'm sorry."

"That's perfectly fine, it's mostly in dead languages anyway," Rey said with a little smile, reaching to pick up her own coffee.

"I might of understood the pictures." If there were any.

[thatwaslucky]

"There are some drawings," she said with a shrug. "We're allowed different hobbies."

It was totally a hobby.

"We are," he agreed with a nod. He was starting to be a little more ready to face the day. "Your hobbies sound a lot more intellectual than mine however."

"Does intellectual mean boring?" Rey teased.

He smiled. "No, it means I'm dating someone who is very intelligent."

[thatwaslucky]

"Thank you," she said, smiling. "I don't get that very often." It was a thing that happened when you were more known for other things.

"That's a shame," Silver said. "I'll be sure to remind you more often."

"You're a terrific boyfriend, do I tell you that enough?" Rey asked, leaning against him since he seemed more awake now.

"You do tell me that a lot," he said, putting an arm around her shoulders. "But I could stand to hear it more."

"You're fantastic and I'm very lucky," she told him, sneaking a kiss.

"I don't know if I would use the word lucky," he joked. "If anything I'm the lucky one."

It was too early to be this gross.

"It's probably a good sign when we can compete over who's the lucky one," Rey said with a little laugh. "Even though it's me."

"Very smooth," he said with a laugh. "You know, I'm almost feeling human now."

Whatever stumbled out of the bedroom this morning could not be counted as a human being.
