Ajan Kloss- Sunday
Early in the morning, Rey got up to land the Falcon on what was going to be the new Resistance base. The base was a cave, under the cover of the jungle around them, and she set them down in a clearing near some other ships. Apparently this was the hangar. People were already unloading things, carrying equipment back and forth, asking directions on where they should put something.
As the day went on, more people arrived. A few smaller ships and starfighters landed, and the people got straight to work, or just reunited with people they hadn't seen recently. These were some of the people who had been working around the galaxy to recruit people for the Resistance, and it had definitely gained traction since the near miss at Crait. It actually looked like this could be the start of something.
But to start, they had to get set up. So if you were able to help unload things and get them working, your help was badly needed.
Or you could find somewhere to slack off on a humid planet that may have already turned your hair into a mess. Either way.
[For the moving crew!]

Well, work was going to have to wait for a minute now.

"We're going to have to moisture-proof all of this."
Ugggghhh.

His hair was already doing that frizzy thing that curls did in the humidity.

She spent a good while hauling things off the Falcon and getting them where they needed to be, but when she needed a break she decided to do some exploring, which was how she found the little area overlooking the area that was serving as a hangar, where she could watch everyone for a bit. It was small, but as private as you could get in a cave, and she kind of wondered if no one else found a use for it, if maybe she could claim this spot.
But at least for a minute she'd sit on the ledge and watch and give her muscles a rest.

"This is way better than the last jungle I was in," she said conversationally, popping her head up above the ledge.

She got to work immediately unloading cargo -- the busier she was, the less likely people were to bother her; she'd already had to (badly) evade questions from a couple of nice and genuinely curious people on the trip over about what the Stormlord's symbol hanging from her belt meant, if there was any significance to the ornaments braided into her hair
which I would also like to know, why she had a giant sword...So yeah. Hauling heavy things it was, but as soon as she had a few minutes to spare to take a break, you can bet that she absolutely slipped out into the jungle to search for flowers. When she came back she had a melancholy expression on her face (well... slightly more so than usual) and a few blossoms that she was tucking in between the pages of the book in her hand.
Right. Back to work, and not thinking about it for a little while.

Right. Never mind. Yasha set down the large cylinder of whatever it was that she had on her shoulder and glanced in Poe's direction.
"Do you need something?"
That's usually why people ask, Yasha, yes.

He spent some time moving some stuff off the Falcon but eventually sat down under a tree to give his leg a break and enjoyed the scenery. The place sort of reminded him of the Maroon Island.

The fact that this was in a cave was pretty cool, and even cooler was that there weren't any space spiders in that cave (even if, frankly, a space cave seemed like a very natural place to find space spiders, if you were worried about them.) And after sleeping on the floor of a spaceship and starting to feel just a little cooped up on the Falcon, Annie was pretty okay with stretching her legs and getting back to work.
She started making trips back and forth from the Falcon, consciously choosing things that were on the heavier side but not, like, stupid heavy. She didn't really feel a need to try to show off when, you know, there was a Wookiee around.

He was helpful that way.

"Okay! How about that way?" she asked the little orange-and-white guy, who she vaguely recognized from Rey's Christmas sweater. (Oh, right - droid, not cute robot thing.) She shifted her crate to her hip so she could point to a less-crowded area, hoping it met with his adorable little approval.

Later she'd go out for a run in the jungle, because she was going out of her mind with restlessness, no matter how cool the Falcon was, but all of this activity was fascinating... and probably very, very educational for an Expositor-in-training of the Cobalt Soul, knowing how movements like this functioned, what they did to recruit people, that sort of thing.
So she spent a lot of time observing, occasionally asking people a few questions, just trying to get a general sense of things. Not for any nefarious purposes! She really wanted to know, and it was relevant to her job!
... though it would be understandable if someone thought it was sketchy, to be honest.

Which was why it didn’t take long for him to end up with a smallish group of people who looked more than a little overwhelmed by the amount of activity going on. He asked each of them a few questions, and then made a suggestion or two for where he thought they’d be most helpful with the setup activities.
(Also, Fandom people, did you know that Liam’s hair was, in fact, naturally curly? Because hair product was no match for the humidity here, so now you did!)

It didn't matter. Help was help, he'd take it.

Like she could talk. All the stray locks that refused to stay tied back with the rest of her hair in the thing that was too long to be a topknot any more were sticking to her face and neck and would not be budged, thank you.

And she was definitely going to try to help with all the moving stuff, but, seriously, between technology, the Force, and people with way more strength and muscle than she had, what good was she really doing, anyway? So maybe she was trying to seek out other ways to be helpful in between all the moving things and literally turning into a sweat-covered monster. Maybe she could just, like, provide moral support, or whatever?
And maybe occasionally finding herself somehow drifting over toward the other ships a lot in between rounds, for, like, no reason, pure coincidence, or something.
