This was really Annie and Summer's party, that just so happened to take place in Rey's stupidly giant apartment. Still, even while she'd been told a lot of people might be coming, Rey was a little concerned no one actually would, and then she'd have to figure out what to do with just... a ridiculous amount of alcohol and so many inflatable reindeer. And packages for this thing had been showing up daily for a week, including as late as this afternoon, and after all of this, people had better show up.

There were so many Christmas lights around the place that the apartment lights weren't even on, Summer's Jello shots were very much on display, and while there was mistletoe hanging from the ceiling, it wouldn't force you to kiss anyone. (No, no, that's the alcohol's job.) It was jolly as hell up in here, and honestly loud enough that even if you decided to skip the party you'd probably have some idea of how it went.

Also Tino showed up like ten minutes early and was just kind of hanging around.

Anakin's sweater amused possibly only him and Luke, who'd gotten it for him, but that wasn't really important, right?

He was here and looking vaguely terrified even before he caught sight of the glitter cannons.

Hello! By this point, Rey had had maybe just enough to realize she wasn't as sober as she'd thought, but she should at least pretend like she was for her teacher. It was passable, unless you saw her movements being looser than usual.

"Master Skywalker! You made it!"

"I did," Anakin confirmed. "This is quite a party."

The reindeer were terrifying.

"It's only slightly out of control," Rey told him. "And my electric bill is going to be very high."

"Yes, it will be," Anakin said, grinning.

"Is that a Death Star on your sweater?"

Like, she knew, but she had to check.

"It is," Anakin confirmed. "Who's your droid?"

"BB-8. This is on loan from a friend," she said.

"Does your friend like glitter?" Anakin asked.

Because your friend was getting glitter, Rey.

"I'm not sure glitter works that way," Anakin said. He'd been too near Cade when he'd gotten shot with the glitter cannon and would be finding glitter for a week.

"I've used it as like a Force concentration thing," Rey said, and that probably would have been more coherent like three and a half drinks ago.

"Is that a Death Star on your sweater?" Cade demanded. "What is wrong with you?"

"Why are you even here?" Anakin countered.

"Free booze," Cade said, shrugging.

Nina was a) not supposed to be here and b) had gotten shot with a glitter cannon.

Which meant: incoming hug! Enjoy that mobile pile of glitter flinging herself at you, Bus Dean!

"Hello there," Anakin said, hugging her back and then figuring out who it was.

Nina laughed.

"Bet you weren't expecting me!!!!!!!!!" she chirped, giggling and looking far too pleased with herself, glitter and Meowy Christmas leggings and all.

"Did you graduate when I wasn't watching?" Anakin asked, eyebrows up.

"Nobody's kicked me out yet!!!!!!!!!!" she protested. She'd even had a couple of shots when no one was looking.

Unlike Rey, however, Nina actually was good at judging that sort of thing.

"Why do you want to be at a boring grown-up party?" Anakin asked.

This was not a boring party, for the record.

Nina hesitated before she shrugged a little.

“Because I was told repeatedly that I couldn’t,” she confessed. “I’ve never crashed one of Steve and Tony’s parties because they don’t make a big deal of me not being allowed to come, you know???????”

Anakin nodded. "So if they hadn't made a big deal, you would've have come just to show that you could."

"Probably not," she conceded. "Though, like, I still would've stalked Summer's Insta for pictures of what everyone was wearing......."

"There are some choices," Anakin said, craning his head to look at everyone.
