MCA #1- Friday night, and probably later

This was really Annie and Summer's party, that just so happened to take place in Rey's stupidly giant apartment. Still, even while she'd been told a lot of people might be coming, Rey was a little concerned no one actually would, and then she'd have to figure out what to do with just... a ridiculous amount of alcohol and so many inflatable reindeer. And packages for this thing had been showing up daily for a week, including as late as this afternoon, and after all of this, people had better show up.

There were so many Christmas lights around the place that the apartment lights weren't even on, Summer's Jello shots were very much on display, and while there was mistletoe hanging from the ceiling, it wouldn't force you to kiss anyone. (No, no, that's the alcohol's job.) It was jolly as hell up in here, and honestly loud enough that even if you decided to skip the party you'd probably have some idea of how it went.

Also Tino showed up like ten minutes early and was just kind of hanging around.

Aka, the beginning of the night, where you at least probably started out at least somewhat sober. And if you didn't wear something festive, someone will potentially either shoot you with a glitter cannon or at least try to hand you a Santa hat.

When Rey had been home last week she'd mentioned the party to Chewie, who'd said one aspect of it was covered, and then among all the packages she'd received this week was a holiday sweater that was apparently on loan. Whatever, it was a little big on her, but cute with leggings.

And she only looked a little nervous about what might happen to her apartment. It was fine, it was all fine.

Jaye was really here because she was curious after hearing about it on radio for like two weeks, and also because free booze. If she showed up wearing green, did that count as festive? Because it was literally just the color of the shirt she threw on and she'd put zero thought into it.

Summer was definitely not going to be a helicopter parent to her precious jello babies; she was absolutely going to enjoy the heeeelllllll out of being on this side of a drink-driving capacity. It felt good to have a red solo cup in her hands again!

And, of course, her sweater was very thematic and very pink and would probably have about half the beads it started out with by the end of the night!

Oh, and in her other hand she was armed with a glitter cannon. Be afraid. Be very, very afraid.

Diego had promised Annie tinsel and a Santa hat and he delivered. Yeah he looked like an idiot and he felt like an idiot but a few drinks in and he wouldn't care.

Kitty had figured that there'd be enough Christmas stuff here, she should probably due her part to balance it out with some Hanukkah rep.

Was she glad to be at a party she didn't throw? Yes. Would she be drinking immediately because babysitters were great? Yes!

Silver had found an appropriate sweater to wear this evening. He actually kind of liked it, it was at least warm.

It also spared him from the glitter cannons, which was an added bonus.

Stark was not festively attired when he arrived. He had agreed to a hat and/or necklace on Wednesday though and would go along with putting them on if asked. Or told. A ridiculous sweater, if there really were extras, was also definitely an option.

Annie had not merely limited herself to a sweater - which, let's face it, was cute and she'd wear it anyway. She also had a marvelously tacky skirt, leggings, reindeer antlers and earrings, to boot.

She was also, naturally, armed with a glitter cannon, which she was keeping on her hip like a person who was kind of newly getting used to carrying something like that (but also loved it) and wasn't afraid to to use it liberally.

Lucille wasn't used to parties, especially not after living at Allerdale Hall for a few years. She did know that she was never going to wear a horrible sweater though, so she arrived wearing a nice, if a bit worn, red dress.

Seivarden was obviously not wearing a Christmas sweater. She had considered digging out some of her Earth clothes from the closet in the apartment, but in the end chosen to just show up in uniform.

Shunsui's invitation had come with a caveat from Summer-chan that he promise to not be creepy with her friends (as if he would be anything but a gentleman), so that was easy enough. And while there weren't exactly a wide variety of Christmas-themed haori out there, he had managed to find one that would serve nicely as a thematic substitution for his usual flowery pink one.

And he'd of course brought with him one of his best jugs of sake for the occasion. You know. In case the girls hadn't gotten enough alcohol...

Did Faye even understand what was up with the sweaters? Nope. But she understood partying, she sort of understood Christmas, and mostly she understood that this was the best thing that had been on her radar since landing. So here she was, with a red dress, because she had accidentally managed to be festive without trying.

Rosa wasn't wearing an ugly Christmas sweater, but she did have this jacket, if that counted.

She was mostly on the fence about coming to this this anyway, but honestly? The potential for stupid people watching was too great, and practically a gift all in itself.

Bar Area

There's so much alcohol, you guys. An obscene amount, including two kegs of Christmas ale, and Annie's truly alcoholic punch, and mixers, rosé, and assorted spirits. Egg nog from the faucets today? Great! They'd made it alcoholic for the party and now you could drink it.

There's also soda and water for those who aren't drinking, and red Solo cups for all!

And if you're hungry, there are... bowls of chips? And cookies?

There's also Rey's little gremlin friend who got drunk off a shot and is dancing with a little tiny lampshade on his head in a corner of the bar.

There had been two spotlights set up to cast a brilliant illumination on the display that Summer had spent way too much time on perfecting, a banner with an obscene amount of glitter, and, most importantly, there they were, Summer's 'precious jello babies' (actual quote), ready to be admired and consumed by the masses in their big exclusive debut.

The guests would have their pick and their fill of a wide variety of visually pleasing, seasonally delicious, and very alcoholic treats in the form of Candy Canes, Stained Glass, Gingerbread Men, Eggnog, of Course!, and even a Hanukkah one!

But the real star of the show that Summer was particularly proud of were the Snow Globes.

Overall, Summer couldn't help feeling an overwhelming pride over the offerings...Well, overwhelming pride, constantly flirting with an incredible clench of dread that they were not going to live up to the hype, like, at all, ohmygod, someone please come have some jello shot and validate her before she dies, okay?

Cookie Decorating

In the kitchen, you can decorate sugar cookies with icing and sprinkles! But you have to do a shot first.

Honestly this sounded kind of amazing to Kitty. She could do a shot to decorate a cookie.

Even if her attempt to make a little dragon on a sugar cookie was not going well, and her attempts to then fix it just made it look like a blob. She knew what it was supposed to be... and yeah, she'd just start over.

"Do I have to do a shot for each cookie?" she asked, pouring one anyway.

Around the Apartment

Hang out somewhere! Rey's room and therefore the master bath are off limits (trying to get in will cause it to rain down silly string upon you), but everything else is fair game. The living room has seating and a leg lamp/major award on the table, the kitchen and pantry are stocked like a doomsday prepper lives there, the den is full of random stuff she still has from Animal Crossing (moddable but there are definitely too many tables and orange cones), there's probably a line for the bathroom, and the spare bedroom has a racecar bed in it.

There was only so much wandering Silver could do before he had to take a break so he found himself on a couch, with a drink in hand. It was kind of fun watching everybody get hammered while he got...well drunk but not as drunk as he could have been.

Outdoor Spaces

There's a lanai, on which a light up snowman is hanging out, and the balcony through the den is accessible! Below this apartment is Steve and Danny's, in case you need to know that.

So Santa is a magical creature of myth and legend. Who no doubt could handle his egg nog and rum without an issue.

A gremlin-bit Barry who thinks he's Santa is a complete lightweight when it comes to booze. And after a few rounds of Annie's punch, he passed out on one of the couches.

And probably was snoring.
