This was really Annie and Summer's party, that just so happened to take place in Rey's stupidly giant apartment. Still, even while she'd been told a lot of people might be coming, Rey was a little concerned no one actually would, and then she'd have to figure out what to do with just... a ridiculous amount of alcohol and so many inflatable reindeer. And packages for this thing had been showing up daily for a week, including as late as this afternoon, and after all of this, people had better show up.

There were so many Christmas lights around the place that the apartment lights weren't even on, Summer's Jello shots were very much on display, and while there was mistletoe hanging from the ceiling, it wouldn't force you to kiss anyone. (No, no, that's the alcohol's job.) It was jolly as hell up in here, and honestly loud enough that even if you decided to skip the party you'd probably have some idea of how it went.

Also Tino showed up like ten minutes early and was just kind of hanging around.

"You made it!" Kitty greeted her. "And you may get glittered."

Allie shuddered. "Can't they wait till I can at least shower it off? There's eggnog in the water pipes!"

Kitty paused, and said, "I wonder if anyone would actually get drunk enough to try it tonight."

Not her. Someone else.

"Not me," said the vampire that would sadly remain perfectly sober all night. "Can you imagine. Glittery and sticky?"

"That sounds more like the morning after a strip club," Kitty admitted. "Not that there's anything wrong with that."

Allie had seen some things in her dealings with the vampire princes. "Nope, you do what you have to do. So besides all the holiday stuff, what else have you been up to?"

"Not much. Turning into things at the island's whims," she said. "How about you?"

"I have so far managed to avoid that," Allie said gratefully. "I'm not sure if I'm lucky or if it just means the island is going to get me in a huge elaborate way one day to make up for it."

"Or it's trying to lull you into a false sense of security," Kitty said helpfully.

"Oh I'm sure it's only a matter of time." Allie was a realist after all. "I'm sure one morning I'll wake up as a guy or a four year old."

"Just like the good old days," she grinned.

"Some were better then others." But still, she grinned, "Are there still weeks when everyone gets hot and bothered?"

"Yep. Way more complicated for me now, but the rest of you can have all the fun you want," Kitty smiled. "Got your eye on anyone?"

Allie rolled her eyes. "I need to meet more people before my eye settles anywhere. Though with the benefit of several years of dealing with asshole vampire princes? God help me, Eric is almost acceptable."

"He's hot," Kitty considered. "And he's probably learned some things in a thousand years."

"This is true. But in his eyes, I'm pretty sure I'm a self-righteous little baby vamp." Though he did seem to appreciate the lessons she'd learned in dealing with her vampire elders.

"Damn shame Mike's not still around."

"He left with a girlfriend. And I didn't really see him much after they got together," Kitty admitted.

"Understandable." Allie frowned, remembering something she still needed to tell Kitty. "At some point I've got a story to tell you, but it's a bit more serious then the party deserves."

"Okay," Kitty nodded. "Just let me know when."

She nodded. "I'll stop by the bar. I haven't said hi to the zombies yet."
