This was really Annie and Summer's party, that just so happened to take place in Rey's stupidly giant apartment. Still, even while she'd been told a lot of people might be coming, Rey was a little concerned no one actually would, and then she'd have to figure out what to do with just... a ridiculous amount of alcohol and so many inflatable reindeer. And packages for this thing had been showing up daily for a week, including as late as this afternoon, and after all of this, people had better show up.

There were so many Christmas lights around the place that the apartment lights weren't even on, Summer's Jello shots were very much on display, and while there was mistletoe hanging from the ceiling, it wouldn't force you to kiss anyone. (No, no, that's the alcohol's job.) It was jolly as hell up in here, and honestly loud enough that even if you decided to skip the party you'd probably have some idea of how it went.

Also Tino showed up like ten minutes early and was just kind of hanging around.

"Do you know 'Baby, It's Cold Outside'?" Annie asked in greeting, firmly in tipsy territory by now.

"Why, Annie, are you asking me for a duet?" he teased.

"If you'll have me," Annie said, smiling brightly. "I'm an okay singer."

She was actually really quite good, and drunk enough to not be that shy about it.

"However could I turn that down?" Jaskier asked, strumming strings and tapping a rhythm against the lute to start of the song for her.

"I really can't stay," Annie started, low and perfectly on-key, because girl was a talent-portion champion, even several drinks in.

This was going to be A Thing all holiday season long.

"Baby, it's cold outside," Jaskier harmonized, just a beat after to let her lyrics register for the audience first.

"I've got to go 'way," Annie continued, grinning over at him because like, damn, Jaskier, they were already super good at this.

It was his job to be good at this!

"Baby, it's cold outside," he sang back, playing along with the ambiance. God help everyone next time people broke out into song around these two.

"This evening has been so nice and warm," Annie sang assuredly, and yes seriously, she didn't even know that was a thing yet but God help them all if the island ever actually prompted them to break into song. There would be so much belting.

"Look out the window at that storm," Jaskier sang back, gesturing over at the window like it would show just that. Well. There might be glitter if some of the guests got rowdy.

"My mother will start to worry," Annie informed him, all concern - though, really, if her mom could see the amount Annie was drinking oh boy, Donna would indeed be worried. Method!

Oh, pfft. This was a perfectly reasonable amount of alcohol! It was the pre-marital sex she ought to be worried about, really.

"Beautiful, what's your hurry?"

"My father will be pacing the floor," Annie added. Which was not true, which was a little sad but also for the best because he would also probably not approve of the drinking or the pre-marital sex.

Wait, was the Daddy Issues thing how Danny ended up collecting people?

"Listen to the fireplace roar." Man, they missed out on having a fireplace for this.

Uh, yeah. Didn't help how Danny was consciously there for a daughter who was just a little older than Annie had been when her dad had left, just saying.

"So really, I'd better scurry." Scurry was not a sexy word, by the way.

"Beautiful, please don't hurry..."

"Well, maybe just a half a drink more."

If only it had been just a half a drink more. It was going to be like, way more than that.
