This was really Annie and Summer's party, that just so happened to take place in Rey's stupidly giant apartment. Still, even while she'd been told a lot of people might be coming, Rey was a little concerned no one actually would, and then she'd have to figure out what to do with just... a ridiculous amount of alcohol and so many inflatable reindeer. And packages for this thing had been showing up daily for a week, including as late as this afternoon, and after all of this, people had better show up.

There were so many Christmas lights around the place that the apartment lights weren't even on, Summer's Jello shots were very much on display, and while there was mistletoe hanging from the ceiling, it wouldn't force you to kiss anyone. (No, no, that's the alcohol's job.) It was jolly as hell up in here, and honestly loud enough that even if you decided to skip the party you'd probably have some idea of how it went.

Also Tino showed up like ten minutes early and was just kind of hanging around.

Enjoy the night! Hopefully you wore something festive or you're gonna hear about it.

Did Cade even go here any more?

He did not but he did have an amazing gift for showing up when free booze was being offered.

He was in black leather pants, a black sleeveless shirt and nothing remotely festive, and he was hoping his fuzzy bottle of booze would make up for his lack of Christmas cheer.

"Is that bottle fuzzy?" Rey had to check.

It wasn't even a festive kind of fuzzy so he'd probably still get cannoned.

"This bottle is indeed fuzzy," Cade said, "but I will not lick it."

Totally normal thing to say, Cade.

Rey paused.

"Are you supposed to?"

"Yes," Cade lied, "but I'm a rebel."

"That's probably for the best," Rey said. "What's actually in the bottle?"

Was it also fuzzy?

"Some kind of brown stuff from Africa," was Cade's very compelling sales pitch. "It's good!"

"Is it actually good, or do you think it's good once you've lucked the bottle?"

Rey asked the important questions.

"...yes," Cade answered slowly after a moment to think about it.

"I kind of want to try it," Rey admitted just as slowly.

Like a sip, in case it tasted like fur.

Cade handed the bottle over. "Go for it!"

Just swig it out of the bottle, Rey. Cade was classy.

Rey looked over at the bar and pulled a red cup to her hand. She didn't actually use the Force casually that much, but apparently tonight it was happening.

She poured a tiny bit in case it tasted like fur, and then tasted it. "Huh."

"Good, right?"

"It's better than the bottle would lead me to believe," she said, pouring just a little more before handing it back.

"There's my goal," Cade teased, "barely over terrible expectations."

"You did well," Rey smiled. "I've seen you at those parties for people from our galaxy, right?"

Cade nodded. "I'm Cade. Hi."

"Rey," she said. "I don't actually see you around the island."

"I don't usually live here," Cade said. "Guess I got a Force-nudge or whatever."

The clarion call of freeze booze stretched through space and time...

"Santa hat or glitter cannon?" Annie greeted the newcomer, already leveling the cannon at him so, like, choose wisely, Cade.

"Glitter cannon?" Cade replied dubiously.

"If you're sure," Annie said, taking that as confirmation and leveling the cannon at him with a bright smile. "Hold still!"

Or don't and make her actually aim, either way.

"No!" Cade said, ducking behind Anakin ~~like the shameless modder I am~~.

"What's happening here?" Anakin demanded, eyes going wide as he saw Annie's cannon. "Oh, you are not hiding here," he said, putting Cade right back into the line of fire.

"Thank you!" Just for that, Anakin, Annie would mercifully not identify you as Former Teenager With Bad Haircut, even though she totally recognized you that way. You're welcome.

Instead, she was going to focus on firing a whole explosion of glitter at Cade. Sorry not sorry.

Cade was dripping in glitter now, and there was inexplicitly some back in Anakin's hair.

"Thanks," Cade said, glancing down at himself. "I'm festive now."
