Anoat- Friday sometime after classes

It was a lovely day on this… uh, planet covered in actual trash. Honestly, it wasn't so bad. Sure, you needed a rebreather to go outside due to the toxic air, which was good because it also kept you from smelling all the literal garbage covering the ground's surface. Somewhere under all that trash was also a monstrous pit beast that could eat you whole, but it probably wouldn't make an appearance today. (Probably.)

But for the most part, they had more pressing things to worry about. There was a series of giant interconnected domed tents which served as the Resistance base. There was war room, filled with massive screens and equipment most of you probably didn't know how to work, where the power had largely been cut to most of it to dismantle them for travel. There was storage for things like supplies, food and weaponry. A few people had living quarters here, and there was a decent kitchen for that sort of setup.

And all of that had to be packed up and moved onto either the Falcon of the other transport ship. ASAP. By the few Resistance members working here, and the lovely volunteers from Fandom.

"There's warm, and then there's lava." Granted, Rey's experience with lava planets was seeing her teacher catch fire via memory, and she hadn't seen the nicer, more pleasant Vader's Castle areas of Mustafar. "There are ice planets, too. Ask Leia or Chewie about Hoth sometime."

Imagine the number of layers these two would have to wear on Hoth.

"Well Chewie is covered in hair, he would do better than me on an ice planet." And Leia was intimidating, though Silver wasn't about to say that out loud.

He looked around at all the activity happening around them. "We seem to be getting this done quickly."

"We've had to make a few quick escapes already," Rey said, glancing around. "I think people have a system. I don't think we've had to do it with this much stuff before, though."

"You've brought a lot of capable people with you this time," he said. "I mean, Annie is a lot stronger than she looks."

That was a little jarring to see, actually.

"Yeah, I learned that the time she punched me," Rey said. "I think setting up might be easier, too."

"I don't know how much help I'll be with that," he said. "But if you tell me to unpack something and point at where it should go, I can manage that."

"I have a feeling I'll be doing the same thing," she admitted. "I don't know much about where we're going. Mostly that it's supposed to be a permanent base."

"That would be nice." He had his doubts, however. Bases were sort of what the bad guys were always after, right? "You are definitely going to relax after this. I'm going to make sure of it."

"More baths?" Rey asked, smiling.

[long_memory]

He smiled. "If that's what it takes to help you relax, then yes."

It'd be suuuuuch a sacrifice for him, really.

"It's an idea," she said. Hey, look how not tense she looked right now! Not relaxed, but better. "If you have other suggestions I'm open to them, too."

"I have other suggestions," he said. "But they aren't exactly appropriate for public discussion."

"Definitely not appropriate for this public," Rey smiled. Not around Space Mom. "This is also where the lack of privacy becomes an issue."

Silver sighed. "Yes, I noticed. At least it's only a few days? We'll make up for it later."

"It is. And if we really need, I've learned how to get away from people for a bit."

It was a benefit to liking being around people while also desperately needing her own space sometimes.

He laughed. "Good to know we have options if things get desperate."

[thatwaslucky]

"We might, there are a lot of people for one ship."

And they weren't even taking everyone on base on the Falcon.
