The Millennium Falcon- Saturday

While the general vibe of the last day on Anoat had been anxiety, today was relief. They'd gotten away safely, no evidence of their months on the planet left for the First Order to discover. Most of the Resistance members were on the other ship, though Chewie, Leia and Rose stayed on the Falcon. Rey had plotted their course through hyperspace and had put the ship on autopilot, and today was kind of a day to just chill out on a space ship.

There were things to do. There was a lounge area with a dejarik table if you wanted to learn a new game, and another with a mostly empty bar and a sound system that Rey had literally never touched. If you felt like geeking out over tech, someone might put you to work. No, you can't fly the ship. Yes, you can sit there. No, seriously, don't touch anything.

"Anakin," Anakin said. "I'm a teacher."

"Rose. What do you teach?"

She also had no idea what Fandom's school was like, and expected the answer to be like, "math."

"Flight right now," Anakin said, smiling. "But normally I teach ethics."

"So you're pretty much perfect to come help with a war effort," Rose said, kind of teasing, with zero idea of who she was talking to.

Anakin laughed. "I have some experience, yes. So tell me how this ship stays in the air with birds trying to fry themselves on it all the time."

"Near constant repair work," Rose admitted. "We're still trying to fix a lot of the modifications that were apparently made when it was on Jakku, plus it gets shot at a lot, so something's always getting worked on. Mostly Chewie, and me and Rey when we're aboard. You just adjust which problem gets worked on first."

"What's on fire at the time?" Anakin guessed wryly. "Well, point me at something. I'm pretty good with my hands."

"Great!" Rose said brightly. "In that case, you can check these panels and look for anything that seems funny. We've had some minor shorts coming from somewhere, so time to figure out where."

[sith_happened]

"On it," Anakin said, grinning.

He hadn't gotten to really get inside the guts of a starship for years and he was going to have so much fun with it.
