The Millennium Falcon- Saturday
While the general vibe of the last day on Anoat had been anxiety, today was relief. They'd gotten away safely, no evidence of their months on the planet left for the First Order to discover. Most of the Resistance members were on the other ship, though Chewie, Leia and Rose stayed on the Falcon. Rey had plotted their course through hyperspace and had put the ship on autopilot, and today was kind of a day to just chill out on a space ship.
There were things to do. There was a lounge area with a dejarik table if you wanted to learn a new game, and another with a mostly empty bar and a sound system that Rey had literally never touched. If you felt like geeking out over tech, someone might put you to work. No, you can't fly the ship. Yes, you can sit there. No, seriously, don't touch anything.
[For le Resistance!]

He would, of course, trounce you at it.

It reminded Rey a lot of her early days in the Resistance after Crait. Of course, she'd also headed to Fandom when the Falcon started feeling too crowded so it was probably a good thing they'd be on Ajan Kloss tomorrow.

For now he was hanging out in the lounge. He would not be playing Chewie in dejarik. He knew better.

She was going to be curled up in her little blanket nest for at least a little bit while she woke up, here, nursing a cup of caf and sending texts.

And being slightly envious of R2’s ability to plug in directly to the ship.

"How many times do I have to tell you, Dita, these aren't food?"
The porg let out a squawk in response.
Yes the porg's name was Dita. All the porgs had names.

thank you recent canon for that tidbit. For... guilt-related reasons, which were also why she didn't complain about the nights on the road where they slept in Caleb's little magical dome for safety, all weird curled-up positions and random limbs everywhere.More to the point, it meant that all she'd needed last night was a space just large enough that she could sit upright, with enough leg room that she wouldn't get a cramp. At least until Beau, who'd managed to finagle a (tiny) cabin, came along and insisted that Yasha at least take the floor in there, where she'd have a touch more room and not have to be around so many people. (Beau was way too observant for Yasha's liking sometimes.) It was a choice between her dislike of enclosed spaces and her discomfort with people, and in the end the latter won out, but just barely.
So that had been the arrangement, Yasha sleeping on the floor in a sitting position with her back to the door, which as a bonus kept her from getting accidentally kicked in the face. She'd spent enough nights in the dome with the Nein to know that Beau had a tendency to just sprawl everywhere in her sleep, like the universe's most obnoxious starfish
again, thank you, recent canon. But she'd gotten out of there as soon as she woke up this morning (was it morning? Time was extra confusing out here.) and gotten herself a cup of caf, which she was now sipping at very slowly as she sort of lurked in a corner near the dejarik table just to watch.no subject
There had been a lot going on yesterday, and she'd fallen asleep before she finished journaling it all, so today she was sitting cross-legged atop a crate with a cup of caf beside her and a notebook on her knees, scribbling furiously away.
But also checking out the dejarik board, because dude.

And now she wondering how badly trying to get a few rounds of sabacc started would go...
And at least there was caf, even though she was still going to insist it was exactly the same as coffee, dammit.
