The Millennium Falcon- Saturday

While the general vibe of the last day on Anoat had been anxiety, today was relief. They'd gotten away safely, no evidence of their months on the planet left for the First Order to discover. Most of the Resistance members were on the other ship, though Chewie, Leia and Rose stayed on the Falcon. Rey had plotted their course through hyperspace and had put the ship on autopilot, and today was kind of a day to just chill out on a space ship.

There were things to do. There was a lounge area with a dejarik table if you wanted to learn a new game, and another with a mostly empty bar and a sound system that Rey had literally never touched. If you felt like geeking out over tech, someone might put you to work. No, you can't fly the ship. Yes, you can sit there. No, seriously, don't touch anything.

If anyone wanted Chewie, you'd find him at the dejarik table, also known as that chess-looking thing. The holographic pieces were up, just waiting for a challenger.

He would, of course, trounce you at it.

Silver was much more comfortable being on the Falcon now than he had been the first time. He sort of knew the layout now and wasn't afraid of accidentally locking himself in the cargo hold or anything.

For now he was hanging out in the lounge. He would not be playing Chewie in dejarik. He knew better.

Annie had opted to take a blanket and curl up in a corner of the lounge last night, rather than try to figure out a more elegant sleeping situation since it looked like space was kind of at a premium and she figured could deal. She was only kind of right, since she was paying for it today with a stiff neck and bleary eyes, though the caf was helping. (Magic space coffee continued to be amazing.)

She was going to be curled up in her little blanket nest for at least a little bit while she woke up, here, nursing a cup of caf and sending texts.

Barry skipped sleeping last night. Mostly as there was new tech to look at and gain an understanding of, so after cleaning off all the hydraulic fluid he got on himself he spent almost the entire time looking at the Falcon’s schematics.

And being slightly envious of R2’s ability to plug in directly to the ship.

Rose was spending at least part of the day in the engine room, working on some wires that had gotten chewed up. You know. Somehow.

"How many times do I have to tell you, Dita, these aren't food?"

The porg let out a squawk in response.

Yes the porg's name was Dita. All the porgs had names.

Much like Barry, Liam had just opted not to sleep last night. One of the perks of being not-entirely-corporeal. So instead, he was just hanging out in the lounge for the moment. He thought about trying to learn dejarik, but he’d heard things about Chewie’s, uh, passion for the game, so... maybe some other time. He liked all his limbs where they were.

Listen, every time the Mighty Nein stayed at an inn Yasha either slept on the floor in Beau and Jester's room or she slept outside; even the bed in her hotel room in Fandom stayed largely untouched in favor of the chair thank you recent canon for that tidbit. For... guilt-related reasons, which were also why she didn't complain about the nights on the road where they slept in Caleb's little magical dome for safety, all weird curled-up positions and random limbs everywhere.

More to the point, it meant that all she'd needed last night was a space just large enough that she could sit upright, with enough leg room that she wouldn't get a cramp. At least until Beau, who'd managed to finagle a (tiny) cabin, came along and insisted that Yasha at least take the floor in there, where she'd have a touch more room and not have to be around so many people. (Beau was way too observant for Yasha's liking sometimes.) It was a choice between her dislike of enclosed spaces and her discomfort with people, and in the end the latter won out, but just barely.

So that had been the arrangement, Yasha sleeping on the floor in a sitting position with her back to the door, which as a bonus kept her from getting accidentally kicked in the face. She'd spent enough nights in the dome with the Nein to know that Beau had a tendency to just sprawl everywhere in her sleep, like the universe's most obnoxious starfish again, thank you, recent canon. But she'd gotten out of there as soon as she woke up this morning (was it morning? Time was extra confusing out here.) and gotten herself a cup of caf, which she was now sipping at very slowly as she sort of lurked in a corner near the dejarik table just to watch.

Don't ask how Beau had managed to get a hold of that cabin. Suffice to say it was not one of her more shining moments -- but at least it was closer to bribery than blackmail? That was growth! Sure, that cabin was the size of a copper piece, but she'd seen how uneasy Yasha had been getting last night, trying to squirm out of conversations with random curious people, and figured she didn't need that on top of the claustrophobia issue. Anyway, Yasha was part of her crew, and she looked out for her crew like a good first mate should, dammit, so yeah, bribery. But harmless bribery, okay?

There had been a lot going on yesterday, and she'd fallen asleep before she finished journaling it all, so today she was sitting cross-legged atop a crate with a cup of caf beside her and a notebook on her knees, scribbling furiously away.

But also checking out the dejarik board, because dude.

Honestly, Summer was a little surprised she was able to sleep last night. It was funny, really; the last time she'd helped Rey out with a mission, she'd been mostly fine, only little twinges, but this time around, she was feeling much more restless about being back out here. Kind of antsy now that all the distraction of moving everything was passed and now all they had was traveling the same stars she used to (but not really). It was almost enough to wish she had offered up her ship for this whole thing, but her ship wasn't exactly the best for more...subtle things.

And now she wondering how badly trying to get a few rounds of sabacc started would go...

And at least there was caf, even though she was still going to insist it was exactly the same as coffee, dammit.
