Anoat- Friday sometime after classes
It was a lovely day on this… uh, planet covered in actual trash. Honestly, it wasn't so bad. Sure, you needed a rebreather to go outside due to the toxic air, which was good because it also kept you from smelling all the literal garbage covering the ground's surface. Somewhere under all that trash was also a monstrous pit beast that could eat you whole, but it probably wouldn't make an appearance today. (Probably.)
But for the most part, they had more pressing things to worry about. There was a series of giant interconnected domed tents which served as the Resistance base. There was war room, filled with massive screens and equipment most of you probably didn't know how to work, where the power had largely been cut to most of it to dismantle them for travel. There was storage for things like supplies, food and weaponry. A few people had living quarters here, and there was a decent kitchen for that sort of setup.
And all of that had to be packed up and moved onto either the Falcon of the other transport ship. ASAP. By the few Resistance members working here, and the lovely volunteers from Fandom.
Welcome to the glamorous Resistance!
[For those on the trip!]

In a time crunch she wasn't going to complain about being used to Force lift a bunch of stuff when asked. It was basically a sort of training.

It was also a really good way to play it calm when her father was here, seriously, Rey? They were going to have a Talk later.

He was also happy he could at least be more help than he was the last time he was in space. Manual labor he could do, and he wasn't hindered by a crutch now.

...er, in your pocket. Yup. There.
Either way, she was there to help, and so help she did, moving things with an energy and eagerness reserved for when she was getting to scratch that persistent Space Resistance itch that was was pretty sure was as permanently under her skin as one of her grandpa's tracking devices, and trying not to get distracted with ship upgrades and shit like that while she hauled shit back and forth.
On the trash planet! Which did not disappoint!

"This place is fucking awesome," Barry said cheerfully coming up to Summer. "So much shit to fix and new technology to play with. Best weekend trip ever!"
Barry had a different viewpoint than others when it came to a mass evacuation of a planet.

Annie was trying really hard not to be all that grossed out by the trash planet, because they had a job to do. (Going to space had helped; even if it was a trash planet, it was a trash planet in space.)
In any case, Annie was trying to find heavier stuff to carry, since she could. What good were superpowers if you didn't use them to haul around heavy-looking crates when your friends needed you to?

She was pulling a stack of crates on a makeshift sort of sledge that had no right to be moving as easily as it was, but she kind of awkwardly nodded to Annie and half-mumbled what sounded like a hello.

Summer only wished she could blame that greeting on the fact that Nina was staying at her apartment a lot this week, but that was definitely not the case.
"Is this great?"
For the record, Summer also did not bother keeping a straight face as she said that, no, laughing a little although a very big part of her was absolutely loving this, but, for, like, personal reasons that had nothing to do with hauling shit through a trash planet.

The last time he'd been here, he'd spent a lot of time with the communications equipment, so that was where he was now, helping take apart and pack things away.

It was more than a little bit weird for her to be here, especially since Beau had just dragged her into this unexpectedly, but... she felt like she did owe Rey for helping to rescue her, so she'd also felt obligated to help.
The equipment was unfamiliar to her, so she wasn't going to try and disassemble any of that, but from her time with the carnival the tents were much more her speed. That was where she focused most of her effort, when she wasn't helping move and carry heavy stuff.

Which may or may not be obvious. He gestured, at least.

Carrying heavy things was definitely not her strong point, so instead she had set herself up to help direct part of the massive game of packing Tetris they had going on here.
"No, man, hang on, no! There's room here for something --" she held up her hand like she was holding a midsize box -- "before you jam that shit in here."

Cracking open each crate which had a five foot by five foot entrance there was easily over 1,000 square feet of space in each one and a ladder leading down into each crate.
"All right motherfuckers," Barry said cheerfully. "These suckers were built for transporting completely legal and safe cargo-"
Well. It was built for that now
"So load them up. Doesn't matter about the weight as the crate mass will remain the same. Just don't get stuck down there when the crate is sealed as there's only so much air in there."
Looking around he saw various vehicles, spaceworthy and otherwise. "Any of these not working? Point me to them and lets get those fuckers fixed up."
no subject
"Is there a weight limit on these things?"
