ooc: care and feeding of the baby jedi
Aug. 10th, 2019 10:51 amI went ahead and did new Star Wars canon! And thanks to some convenient time wonkiness back home that means she's not needed there every second, Rey's going to be back on island to try and figure out wtf she's doing since she got no help back there.
"Now, Natalie," you might be saying, "isn't the new movie still several months away? And there's some new canon coming out between now and then that you'd have to work in/around? Aren't you just inviting jossing?" Yes! I've been in this game for a terrifying amount of time now and I needed to do something possibly dumb and definitely challenging. So what does this mean?
It means if your character has the ability to tell that Rey's Force sensitive, have at it. In fact, if you've got a Force sensitive character yourself and would be okay with her talking to you and asking questions, please hit me up! I promise she will probably not imprint on you like a baby bird.
It also means that Rey knows more about the Skywalkers than she expected, and so she's going to be a little guarded on some of what she says to protect the interested parties. If your character isn't cool with spoilers or there's anything you do/don't want to touch on, let me know.
And mostly, what I don't know, Rey doesn't know. New canon will get incorporated at some point, but for the most part thanks to the time freeze things for her are where they were at the end of the Last Jedi. And if I fuck it up, well, that's the point of a challenge!
